You will never know who you are, until you become different.
Being a minority means being judged, from a group of people who look like each other, share the same language, religion, accent...etc. So it's whether you stand out, in a positive way. Or melt in the crowd as a stranger. "When you are strange, no one remembers your name" Jim Morrison.
It depends on people's type of personality. Are you an extrovert or an introvert? Would you adapt to the world or force things to get shaped to your desire? Do you find your behaviour independent or you tend to conform more often?
Step to an unfamiliar place, break the fear and get to know yourself. It is a magnificent experience indeed. And if you have always had the "home" you belong to, you've got to be lucky. Because some people spend all their lives not knowing to whom they should affiliate. That's what war, economical selfishness and Ignorance lead people to feel. A feeling of loneliness and fission.
Although I have always thought about us - human beings- as a family that need to accept it's members because you can't change the fact that your brother is your brother. Still the question remains, how could I gulp a stab in my back from a brother?
Which one do you think is better; being a minority in the safety place or being a majority in a dangerous place?
ReplyDeleteA piece of me wants to be in that dangerous place where I can feel with the people I belong to.. Still safety is something no one would deny it's importance, it provides us with the ability to accomplish and survive.
ReplyDeleteNo matter where it is, I just want to live with my family! I guess in my life, I can't see the whole human kinds like a family.
ReplyDeleteI really appreiciate this sentence,You will never know who you are, until you become different. We need to be difference.
ReplyDeleteOne world, one family.
ReplyDelete"how could I gulp a stab in my back from a brother?" Do you mean how could I just take it and not do anything about the injustice?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the song! I remember it from my past!!
ReplyDeleteCary, you have just mentioned the butter of my post.
ReplyDeleteJay, look at it from this perspective: We are mankind.. we belong to each other..
Professor Johnson, It makes me very happy to know that the song tickles memories of your past.. As for my question, what I meant is more personal; I am questioning myself, if we were a family as humans, how can we stab eachothers? I am expressing my disappointment in reference to war, crimes and betrayal
